This is indeed a very controversial topic.
People that usually do medicine are anthropocentric. If you’re truly anthropocentric I think you start to realise that the most important jobs for a society are a doctor and a teacher, and in my opinion these two jobs should be paid the most.
It’s unbelievable how much debt people accumulate in the US— in Europe it’s completely different— and I find it utterly idiotic to be getting paid this little money at your residency when you’re working a job that requires not only a lot of focus, time and effort but is also extremely difficult.
Overall all I have to say is that doctors should be getting paid A LOT more than they already are.
Our society is so skewed.
