It‘s extremely frustrating. It really is. We’re entering an era where we must be tolerant of people’s beliefs and sayings because if we’re not they’ll wreak havoc.

You know what I’m talking about. People tend to tangle emotions with facts. The reality of the situation is that throughout human history whenever there was chaos, only logic prevailed.

Last night I was having a conversation with my friends and after a couple of beers, some heavy philosophical conversations took place.

“Okay so… f**k, marry, kill, Doofenshmirtz’s daughter, Kim Possible, Pocahontas; GO!”

After this hour-long debate, we ended up talking about the recent elections that took place in Greece and how Greeks are slowly turning more tolerant than they should be.

This reminded me of the paradox of tolerance by Karl Popper.

What is the paradox of tolerance?

Imagine you’re playing a game where everyone gets to share their ideas and opinions. Tolerance means being okay with other people having different ideas, even if you don’t agree with them.
